Express Entry to Canada
An Overview of Canada Express Entry Visa
How does it work?
Candidates submit an online Express Entry Profile form, submitting information about skills, work experience, language ability, education and relevant details for assessment. Those invited to apply for permanent residence may be required to register with a suitable Job Bank and make efforts to find a job. Only highest ranking candidates as per immigration criteria will be invited to apply for permanent residence. Those with job offers and the required skills are graded higher. It takes six months for the Express Entry application to be processed and candidates may keep their name in the pool for a year after which they can update their profiles.
What you should know before you apply?
People considering immigration to Canada under the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program or the Canadian Experience Class program are required to apply first for the Express Entry and submit the online form. Only if they are found eligible will the Canadian government invite them to apply for a permanent residence visa under any of these three categories. Prospective candidates must take a language test, keep ready their educational credentials and get them assessed and select the skill type under the Canada's job classification system. Eligible candidates are ranked and their named put in a pool from which lots are drawn to send invitations for permanent residence.
